Get Satellite Broadband for Your RV

By Lance Winslow

Seeing the country in a Recreational Vehicle, Motor Coach or Motor Home is an experience you will never forget. The freedom to travel is unbelievable and in the United States and Canada the amount of distance you can travel and the number of highways could easily take a person a decade to see it all. Of course after traveling to every city in the United States and Canada over a 6-year period, I do have some tips for you.

The first is to get Satellite Broadband for Your RV. Now that gives you total online freedom from anywhere. My high speed Satellite Broadband is 10 Mb/sec download and about 250-300 upload, but lately since VoIP Technologies it has been bogged down a bit. I kind of figured that would happen really. It is a bummer as I have in the past watched many Video Seminars and University Classroom Lectures, but I can only do that at night now, due to the usage times.

When I first got the thing it was State-of-the-Art, then for a little while it is second rate and now the speed is back up again and is about the same as high-speed in people's homes, but it works and this is important more than anything when traveling.

My satellite Internet was one of the first in the nation for Motor Homes, I saw a story in Popular Science and went and bought one, $8,000 and I had serial number # 30 and I did a lot of Beta Testing for Hughe's contractor for the satellite maker.

The folks before me included Wild Fire Government and Civilian, Military, FEMA and a couple of die-hard RV'ers. Yes the cost is only $125.00 per month, unlimited bandwidth and it is an excellent deal for the freedom it provides. I recommend it to all RV'ers.

I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple, to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.

Satellite Internet For the Remote Office

By Harvey Markus

In this current economic environment, no one can afford to put their career on the back burner. With so many layoffs in the last couple of years, those who still have jobs are more determined than ever to stay ahead in the rat race and not become another unemployment statistic. People who have always been dedicated employees are putting in even more hours at the office, and this is taking a toll on life outside of the workplace.

It seems that there really is no choice for those who want to hang on to their jobs, or even move up on the corporate ladder. Being the first person in the office in the morning and the last to leave at night seems like the only way to stay afloat and avoid being laid off or demoted. However, thanks to the recent advancements in technology, this is not necessarily the case. The development of satellite internet has meant that many workers are able to stay on top of their jobs, without ever setting foot in their actual office, This has given people much more freedom in where they live and how they go about their lives, which is exactly what technology is supposed to accomplish.

When the internet was first developed, people didn't exactly know what to make of it, so it took some time before it made any real impact. Though it was certainly a revolutionary development, it was slow and inefficient. Connecting to the web required using a dial up modem, and this took up a phone line that was usually needed as well. It was incredibly frustrating having to wait to connect to the web, and even when you did make a connection it would often cut out unexpectedly.

Some improvement came with the advent of wireless internet, which is still used by most people today. With wireless, users only have to set up one modem and can connect to the internet from any location within their home or office. With wireless, you do not have to rely on chords or cables, so there is some sense of increased freedom and mobility. However, this is been completely surpassed by satellite internet broadband, as this new technology has taken over where wireless left off and given users even more flexibility and access.

Since satellite service relies on a modem that is connected to a satellite, it is significantly faster and more efficient than any service that has come before it. This means you can upload and download documents in the blink of an eye, and load web pages without any wait. The strength of the signal also means that it can reach users in even the most remote or rural locations. So how does this help those who do not necessarily clock into the office five days a week? Since satellite broadband can bring unprecedented internet service to almost any corner of the globe, you can essentially work from any remote location without risk being cut off from your company's main office. This gives you much more freedom in choosing how you wish to live your life, as you can choose to live in a peaceful, rural area and telecommute. It is important that you be able to live the life that you want, and not fear falling behind in your career. Now, thanks to satellite service, you can work from a remote location and still stay connected.
